Tom,
Thanks for your support in launching this podcast initiative! The "Demo" podcast provided a unique opportunity to present unmanned technologies (and, technologists) in action! Future podcasts are certain to have their own flavor.
For the sake of all our (dozen or so) listeners, an initial series of podcasts has been planned, featuring the AUVSI and U.S. Navy Unmanned Technology Demonstration (check!), the annual AUVSI Exhibition, and Interviews with Student Competitors--in that order. Where they go after that is anyone’s guess!
I'll also use this opportunity to REMIND our growing audience that, as promised in the Inaugural Podcast, the first three (3) listeners who either post a comment, send in an email, or call in a voicemail will each get a FREE AUVSI Student Competition T-Shirt provided by AUVSI’s Seafarer Chapter (better tell them!), which holds an exciting and growing student competition at NAVAIR's Webster Field Annex, the very same site where the Unmanned Technology Demonstration (subject of the podcast) takes place. We'll have to come up with some kind of gimmick in each podcast to keep listeners coming back!
In the not-too-distant future, listeners (from within the unmanned community as well as outside the industry!) will be able to “subscribe” (using an RSS Feed) to these podcasts, and will receive automatic updates whenever a new edition is released, at NO COST! Amazing! Just click on the RSS Feed button (soon) appearing on the Podcast Home Page, and you’ll be updated whenever a new podcast is released. In addition, our podcasts are going to be available for download via Apple’s iTunes™ website, a hugely popular site where people will also be able to subscribe to AUVSI content. How cool is that? _________________ jAyWaLkEr
